Lungwort, also known as lungwort leaf or Pulmonaria officinalis, is a natural plant that has been used around the world for a variety of respiratory ailments, including coughs, colds, bronchial detoxification and catarrhal concerns. Particularly the high content of mucilage polysaccharides and tannins is said to have an expectorant and soothing effect. Lungwort has mild diuretic properties which may help relieve the discomfort of bloating from excess water build-up.
